Soul Nights
A recurring home night in Fairfield County, run properly. Original vinyl, a wooden floor, and a room built for dancing rather than for standing about.
The Record Bar
Selected dealers trading before the music starts. Northern Soul, Detroit, rare soul, R&B, Motown and modern soul 45s across the tables.
Guest DJs
American collectors alongside DJs with genuine British scene credentials. The connection to the UK scene is the thing nobody else here has.
On the Road
Branded nights across Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts, placed where the members actually live.
The Writing
Northern Soul Classics tells the history of the records one 45 at a time. Read the story, then hear it played the way it was meant to be heard.
Membership
Twenty five dollars a year. Entry to your first night included, advance tickets before general sale, and a hand in what the club becomes.
Where We
Are Now
This club is being built in the open. Nothing below is dressed up.
- Brand and writing are live. Northern Soul Classics is publishing record histories now.
- Founding memberships are open. Sixty days. The number decides the size of the first night.
- Venue is not signed. Rooms in Fairfield County are being viewed. The floor has to be wood.
- DJs are not announced. Names go up when they are booked, not before.
- Record Bar dealers are being approached. Four to six tables, free during the launch phase.
What your money does
Founding membership is a demand test with a floor under it. Enough members and the first night happens at a size the room can carry. Not enough, and every founding member gets a full refund. No club gets built on a half empty floor.
